Senior Level Engineer
The IT and Communications Company provides IT support for small- and medium-sized businesses in the Richmond metropolitan area. We are now accepting applications for another full-time mid- to senior-level engineer to join our IT support team.
The ideal candidate will have several years of experience in business IT support and will have an entrepreneurial spirit. Applicants should be capable of troubleshooting problems with a variety of systems and should have a desire to provide high levels of customer service.
This position will design, implement, troubleshoot, and administer multiple systems for a variety of small business clients. Our technicians:
- Provide onsite, telephone, and remote access support for customer systems and networks.
- Troubleshoot hardware, including desktop computers, laptop computers, servers, PDAs, and other information technology devices manufactured by Dell, HP, and other vendors. Implement hardware solutions, including desktop computers, laptop computers, servers, PDAs, and other information technology devices manufactured by Dell, HP, and other vendors.
- Provide software application support, including resolving problems with operating systems and applications from Microsoft, Intuit, Symantec, and other vendors, to include medical software such as EHR (Electronic Health Record) and PMS (Practice Management Systems) software. Implement software solutions, including operating systems and applications from Microsoft, Intuit, Symantec, and other vendors, to include medical software such as EHR (Electronic Health Record) and PMS (Practice Management Systems) software.
- Design and recommend small business network architectures for customer networks, including switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless access points manufactured by Cisco, 3Com, Linksys, D-Link, Netgear, and other vendors. Install and configure networking equipment, including switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless access points manufactured by Cisco, 3Com, Linksys, D-Link, Netgear, and other vendors. Troubleshoot problems with networking equipment, including switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless access points manufactured by Cisco, 3Com, Linksys, D-Link, Netgear, and other vendors.
Candidates MUST have: at least two years’ experience in a similar role as well as an overall broad spectrum IT knowledge with Microsoft systems focus; familiarity with business networking and computing, familiarity with IT operations in a professional organization; excellent communication skills; self-motivation with a focus on customer service; and two or more years of demonstrated experience performing the functions outlined in the job description.

Account Executive
The IT and Communications Company, an IT consulting firm serving small- and medium-sized businesses in the Richmond metropolitan area, is currently accepting resumes for an Account Executive.
The account executive will prospect, cold call, and network in order to sell our services and products to small- and mid-sized corporate accounts. Successful candidates will have 1 to 5 years of successful sales experience, strong follow-up and time management skills, self-motivation, and the ability to work unsupervised. Business-to-business sales experience and a fundamental understanding of computer hardware and software are a plus. A motivated desire to sell and a successful performance history are a must.
Responsibilities include:
- Prospect, cold call, and generate new sales opportunities for small- to mid-sized business clients.
- Develop and present proposals to prospects based on the needs of the business client.
- Identify, qualify, and close new opportunities.
- Sell ITCC services and products, including outsourced IT consulting, network support services, server support, troubleshooting and help desk services, Dell and HP hardware, Microsoft and other software.
- Manage accounts through the entire sales process, including prospecting, qualifying, contract negotiations, signing, and post-sales support.
- Leverage the ITCC business model to retain and maximize revenue growth and increase market share.
- Remain customer-focused to ensure the highest level of support to our customer base.
- Work with the owner to create custom-tailored proposals and target specific markets.
- Prepare routine reports.
- Assist with development of additional marketing tools.
Qualifications:
- 1 to 5 years of B2B sales experience.
- Proven track record of meeting and exceeding quota.
- Excellent communication, prospecting, presentation, follow-up, and closing skills.
- Entrepreneurial attitude: self-motivated, problem solver, and a self-starter who can work with little direction.
- Reliable vehicle and cell phone.
- Fundamental computer skills, including Word, Excel, and Powerpoint.
